Our preferred postage method is Presort Standard, sometimes known as “bulk” mail. It offers the best value for our clients. Presort means we sort and bundle the mail by zip code before we deliver to the post office. Because we do this work for them, the USPS then gives us a significant discount—sometimes up to 50% cheaper than First Class mail.
There are some restrictions to Presort Standard. You need a minimum of 200 pieces to qualify for this rate, and there a number of administrative hoops to jump through to make it happen. We use our existing relationships with our vendors and USPS to maximize the benefits and eliminate the headaches.
